Alfred Hitchcock Film Festival
Animation
Working with the concept of a film festival held at an art and design college, I wanted to have a textural but tidy feel to the piece. Incorporating abstract allusions to some of Hitchcock's well-known films (and a representation of the school building at the end), I storyboarded a sequence that could be simple but memorable.
For visual interest, I keyframed then drew every frame by hand on a light copy paper and photographed each one—this provided a sense of texture in the background and gave the linework more life. Text and some coloration were added following photography using After Effects.
